Job Description
  • -Operate oxy-fuel gas cutting equipment to cut pipes and piping materials.
  • -Measure and mark pipes according to drawings and specifications.
  • -Cut, trim and bevel pipe ends for fit-up and welding.
  • -Remove damaged or unwanted sections of pipes during repair and maintenance work.
  • -Prepare cut surfaces for further grinding, fitting or welding.
  • -Follow cutting procedures and project quality requirements.
  • -Inspect gas cutting equipment, hoses, regulators and cylinders before use.
  • -Coordinate with pipe fitters, welders and supervisors during piping activities.
